Arguably TAG Heuer's most famous collection of watches, the Carrera range was founded in 1963 after the Carerra Panamericana road race. This Pre-Owned TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre S Mens Watch deserves it’s place among this revered collection.
Case:
This Tag Heuer Carrera comes with a 43mm Polished Stainless Steel case with a solid screw down case back. It has a black Tachymetre. It has two chronograph pushers, both are polished stainless steel with one of them having a red element. The polished Crown is used to change watch modes from time telling to stopwatch and also to set the hands in both modes. The case back has the Tag Heuer Logo and Model Type along with the watch serial number and basic instructions on using the watch engraved.
Dial:
A beautifully clean Matte black dial with two silver semi sub-dials for use with the chronograph or the watch to tell the date and the year. The hour and minutes hands are silver with lume, the central seconds hand is silver with a contrasting red tip. The sub-dials have silvered hands. It has applied silvered baton markers . The chapter ring is engraved with information to help with computations using the watch. This is all covered with scratch resistant Sapphire Crystal.
Movement:
At the heart of this Carrera is the Tag Heuer Calibre S - The Calibre S was particularly innovative, it was a new generation of ‘hybrid’ electro-mechanical movements that is neither quartz nor automatic. Put simply, it is the fusion of mechanical watchmaking sophistication and the ultimate in quartz precision. Comprising 230 highly complex mechanical components and five bi-directional micro-engines that are mechanically independent yet synchronized, the Calibre S is far more complicated than a traditional 30 to 40 component quartz movement. In short, the Calibre S is a mechanical movement with the precision of quartz.
Strap/Bracelet:
The watch comes with a brushed and polished Stainless Steel Bracelet with a hidden locking clasp with the Tag Heuer wording engraved.
This Carrera was produced in approximately 2013.
The watch comes with the original inner and outer box, a Watches of Switzerland pre-owned certificate and the user manual.
