Pre-Owned Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust – 16220
A true classic — this vintage Rolex Datejust 16220 is the kind of watch that never goes out of style. With its 36mm stainless steel case, signature fluted bezel, and champagne dial, it’s a sleek everyday option that still makes a statement.
The automatic movement keeps things running smoothly, and the date window with the famous Cyclops magnifier sits neatly at 3 o’clock. It’s finished with the original Rolex Jubilee bracelet – super comfortable, with that timeless five-link design.
Case:
This Certified Rolex Oyster Perpetual DateJust features a 36mm Oyster Steel Case and famed fluted bezel. It incorporates a lock down signed screw crown and has the watch serial number engraved between the lugs at 6 o’clock and model number engraved between the lugs at 12 o’clock. Featuring a solid case back with contrasting brushed and polished stainless steel.
Dial: This Rolex DateJust has a Champagne coloured dial, with gilt hourly applied makers and hands, date window at three o'clock, the dial is signed 'Rolex Oyster Perpetual DateJust Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified T Swiss Made T. Covering the dial is a Rolex sapphire crystal glass which has the micro etched crown logo at the 6 o’clock baton marker.
Movement:
Powering this DateJust is a Rolex 3135 Automatic self-winding mechanical movement. With 31 jewels and a 48 power reserve, it is a Certified Chronometer (COSC) and is adjusted for five positions and temperature.
Strap/Bracelet:
The Rolex Oyster Perpetual DateJust features an fully brushed Jubilee bracelet with polished ends and a brushed Oysterlock safety clasp, the sides of which also have nicely contrasting polished stainless steel. The bracelet shows some signs of stretching but is perfectly functional and sits perfectly on the wrist (please see accompanying photos). There are no spare links but my wrist (in Photo) is 19cm and the watch fits nicely (there is one further increase available on the fold clasp).
This watch dates to 1989 and comes with the original Service box & pouch, retail swing tag, service card and booklets.

This watch presents in good condition for its age, with moderate signs of wear (scratches and/or marks), commensurate with careful ownership and use. Please refer to the photographs.
