The Rolex GMT-Master wristwatch was originally designed in collaboration with the Pan American Airways and issued by the airline to their crews on long-haul flights. ("GMT" in the name stands for ‘Greenwich Mean Time’ which was later replaced by Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), though the watch kept its name).

Case:

This Certified Rolex Oyster Perpetual GMT Master II features a 40mm Oyster steel Case, black dial and black 24 hour bi-directional bezel. It incorporates a lock down signed screw crown and has the watch serial number engraved between the lugs at 6 o’clock and model number engraved between the lugs at 12 o’clock. The certified Rolex sapphire crystal glass covering the dial has the etched Rolex crown at 6 o’clock.

Dial:

This GMT Master II has a black dial with luminous hour markers and a date aperture at the 3 o’clock together with Mercedes hands and arrow tipped GMT dual time zone hand.

Movement:

Inside is a Rolex automatic self-winding mechanical Caliber 3185 movement with a quick set date. This is a bi-directional rotor with a 50 hour power reserve & 31 jewels running at 28,800A/h

Strap/Bracelet:

The Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II features an fully brushed Oyster bracelet with an Oysterlock safety clasp. The bracelet is serial number 78790A with a date stamp of OP6 (2006). The watch sits loosely on my 19cm wrist and does come with a spare bracelet link. This watch comes with an original Rolex Box and manuals together with the Rolex Red Swing Tag. The original papers are absent.

This watch presents in very good condition for its age, with minimal signs of wear (scratches and/or marks), commensurate with careful ownership and use. Please refer to the photographs.
