Pre-Owned Omega Constellation Ref: 396.1070 with ‘Rare’ quartz movement

Here we have an Omega Constellation with the rare Omega Calibre 1441 which is highly regarded by collectors as a rare and significant Thermo-Compensated (TC) quartz movement used by Omega in the late 1980s.

The watch is also remarkably thin at only 7mm making this a fantastic watch to wear with a shirt & jacket.

This Omega Constellation dates from approx 1986

Case:This Constellation has a stainless steel case measuring approximately 32mm with a signed crown and solid snap-on case back with the Omega logo and Constellation engraved. The case is 7mm thick.

Dial:This model comes with a lovely cream dial with blued steel hour and minute hands and a contrasting black central seconds hand. There is a date complication at 3 o’clock. The dial is protected with scratch resistant Sapphire Crystal.

Movement:The watch is powered by a rare Thermo-Compensated Omega 1441 Quartz movement which was only used for about a year before being replace. Much sought after by Omega Quartz collectors.

Strap/Bracelet:The watch comes with the original 1486/461 Stainless Steel bracelet with a sliding fold over logo clasp. The model has a 19cm wrist and this watch fits perfectly.

This Omega Constellation does not come with the original box or papers.

This watch presents in good condition with signs of wear (scratches and/or marks), commensurate with its age & careful ownership. The dial shows some possible signs of previous water ingress or condensation damage but does not impact on the look of the watch (the movement shows no sign of water ingress), it could just be patina due to the age of the watch.
