Pre-Owned Jaeger-LeCoultre Master-Quartz Watch Ref: 23303-42 – Rarer Round Version

This is a wonderful 1970’s Jaeger-LeCoultre Master-Quartz stainless steel wristwatch, reference 23303-42 which is the rarer round version as opposed to the easier to find ‘UFO’ or Tonneau model, featuring a silvered dial and date aperture. 

The watch utilizes an early quartz movement, Caliber 353, which was developed jointly by Jaeger-LeCoultre and Girard-Perregaux. This model was produced in the 1970s, around 1972 and it highlights a significant era in horology when luxury brands embraced high-precision quartz technology. 

Case:

The watch features a 38mm polished & brushed stainless steel case. This watch has a solid case back engraved with the Jaeger-LeCoultre logo, Master Quartz engraving plus other various engravings including the model number and watch serial number. There is also a signed crown.

Dial:

This model showcases a beautiful vertically brushed linen style silver dial with silver hour & minutes hands and a contrasting black central seconds hand. The dial has gold coloured baton markers and a date complication at 3 o’clock.

Movement:

At the heart of the Master Quartz is the quartz caliber 353 which was developed jointly between Jaeger-LeCoultre and Girard-Perregaux.

Strap/Bracelet:

Fitted with a new black soft full grain leather two-piece strap.

This Jaeger-LeCoultre Master-Quartz does not come with the original box or papers.

Watch working on test

This watch presents in very good condition with signs of wear (scratches and/or marks), commensurate with its age & careful ownership. Please refer to the photographs.
