This Jaeger-LeCoultre Albatros is an elegant, vintage luxury wristwatch initially introduced in 1983 to commemorate the brand's 150th anniversary. Designed as a dressy sports watch, it is characterized by its ultra-thin, subtly shaped hexagonal profile, fully integrated bracelet, and distinctive multi-tier bezel.

The words from the official Ads of the 80’s stated "Named for the bird, whose supremacy in flight is legend, this elegant watch is designed for the life of action. Beauty in Motion - the Ultimate Sport Watch"

Here we have a Pre-Owned Vintage Jaeger-LeCoultre Albatros Mens Wristwatch Reference 3160.022.5.

Case:The watch features a subtly shaped hexagonal ultra slim 34mm (40mm lug to lug) polished & brushed stainless steel case with a solid 18k Gold Bezel. This watch has a solid polished case back. The crown appears to be a replacement but performs as it should.

Dial:This model showcases a highly distinctive, rarer variant of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Albatros from the mid-to-late 1980s. While most Albatros models were fitted with flat matte white, slate grey, or solid cream dials, Jaeger-LeCoultre occasionally produced specialized luxury versions featuring a decorative, repeating monogram pattern across the entire face, this is what this Albatros has.

The Monogram Motif: The repeating Jaeger-LeCoultre Monogram print serves as a textured backdrop to give the dial visual depth and a "jacquard-like" fabric appearance.

The Colour Matching: This dial variation was specifically designed to complement the two-tone (18K yellow gold and stainless steel) version of the Albatros. The gold colour of the dial perfectly pairs with the gold multi-tier bezel and integrated link accents.

The Markings: On authentic models, the repeating motif is applied with extreme precision. The main brand signature "Jaeger-LeCoultre" and the text "Q" will be cleanly printed directly over the subtle pattern without bleeding or overlapping messily.

It has gold applied baton markers and gold hour, minutes and seconds hands. There is a date complication at 3 o’clock.

Movement:At the heart of the Albatros is the Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 625, this is an exceptionally high-grade, ultra-thin Swiss quartz movement designed and built entirely in-house during the 1980s. The watch serial number (2347795) is on the movement.

Strap/Bracelet:This watch is fitted with the original distinct flat-link designed bracelet with inlaid yellow gold bar accents, these bracelets were explicitly engineered for the luxury sports models of the Albatros line. This watch would fit an 18-18.5cm wrist or smaller.

This Vintage Jaeger-LeCoultre Albatros does not come with the original box or papers.
