The Graham Silverstone RS Racing watch is a truly modern watch with some classic style. The new chronograph is proof that classic looks don’t always mean a lack of functions. In addition to the day and date the Graham Silverstone RS Racing houses a chronograph and tachymeter.
One piece of trivia to kick off: Graham traces its origins to a London clockmaker George Graham (1673-1751). A man who is considered to be the father of modern watchmaking. He also had a hand in the early origins of the chronograph as he invented the start-stop device.
As the name suggests, the chronograph from Graham has some serious racing influences. Named after the iconic 18-turn racing circuit straddling both the Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire border. Home of the British Grand Prix and countless other motor racing series.
The new Graham Silverstone RS Racing series is dedicated to this speed and intensity. Just look at the rubber tyre tread strap, but especially the dial with its racing colored dials with checkered flag motive. They recall car dashboards and the small seconds at 9 o’clock is reminiscent of a brake discs.
Case: This watch has a 46 mm Stainless Steel case with a thickness of 15.8mm. The watch is 48mm across the bezel and 51.4mm bezel to crown. It has a Domed sapphire crystal covering the dial and a see-through sapphire case back, there is anti-reflective coating on both faces. It has a RS signed Steel crown and control pushers. It has a blue composite resin ring under the bezel with white tachymeter scale.
Dial: It has a blue, red & white dial with a chequered flag motive with racing dials with Arabic numerals. It has automobile brake disc-shaped seconds counter with red indicator, Silver/white hands with luminova. Small seconds and chronograph hands in red. Water resistance: 10 ATM / 10 bar / 100 meters / 330 feet.
Movement: The heart of this magnificent piece has an automatic Graham caliber G1749 (base ETA/Vajoux caliber 7750). Diameter: 30 mm (13¼ lignes), Thickness: 7.9 mm, Frequency: 28,800 vph (4 Hz), 25 Jewels, Hours, minutes, small seconds, day, date, chronograph. Power reserve is 48 hours. The watch shows an almost perfect score on a Weishi 1900 Timegrapher.
Strap/Bracelet: Blue tyre tread rubber strap with red and a stainless steel folding buckle.
This model was purchased new in October 2024 and retailed for £4250. This watch comes with the original box, original Graham Passport (certificate of origin, certificate of purchase & certificate of Guarantee (2 years from date of purchase).
