To celebrate Boeings 100th anniversary, Bremont released the Boeing 100 Limited Edition BB100 watch that harks back to the early days of aviation. As the worlds leading aerospace company and the largest combined manufacturer of commercial jetliners and military aircraft, Boeing deserved nothing more than a tribute crafted by one of the greatest British watch makers.
The Boeing 100 GMT automatic chronograph showcases the BE-54AWE chronometer rated movement encased within the 43mm aviation grade Ti 6-4 titanium case with a bidirectional rotating bezel and a scratch resistance DLC treated case barrel.
In recognition of Boeing’s leading position as a commercial aircraft manufacturer, carbon fibre composite from the historically significant and technologically advanced Boeing Dreamliner flying test bed aircraft, ZA004, can be found integrated into the crown of each timepiece.
The distinctive brown that runs through the timepiece was inspired by the colour of the cockpits used in older Boeing aircraft models that was reportedly designed to make the cockpits more relaxing to be in for the pilots. The vintage hue is further accentuated by the Boeing logo presented on the dark brown metal dial Featuring a 12-hour chronograph, date and GMT function, the dial comes to life thanks to the red accent on the chrono central sweeping seconds hand and the yellow tip on the GMT hand. The indexes are coated with Super LumiNova and all this is housed beneath the domed anti reflective and scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass. The case is wonderfully framed by an off-white scratch-resistant graduated sapphire bezel.
Secure the timepiece to your wrist by the classic calf skin brown leather strap with a Titanium Pin Buckle or watch the movement hard at work behind the Bremont Boeing skeletonised decorated rotor on the case back.
The heart of this automatic watch is the BE-54AE chronometer rated movement. This movement, not in-house is a modified calibre with 25 jewels, 42-hour power reserve and a Boeing skeletonized decorated rotor, all visible via the display case back.
The watch is water resistant to a 100 meters.
The watch comes with the original Bremont outer box housing a Bremont drawstring material bag which houses the leather case, inside this is the COSC and Warranty registration, a strap removal tool, and Technical notes/User Guide….oh, and the watch!
This model was sold new in 2020.
