The Breitling Transocean Chronograph Unitime is a highly sophisticated, travel-ready timepiece that combines a world-timer function with a chronograph. Introduced in the early 2010s, it is powered by the in-house Caliber B05 and is geared toward frequent travellers and aviation enthusiasts, it rivals esteemed counterparts from Patek Philippe, Girard-Perregaux and Vacheron Constantin.

Case:

The case measures a mighty 46mm but with all the information provided on the dial, this is a blessing. The case is made from polished Stainless Steel and has two polished chronograph pushers and a main signed crown. The case back is solid and contains the model number, the watch serial number and the Breitling Transocean embossed logo.

Dial:

The dial is a beautifully clear matte black with excellent quality finishings, including the details of the dial. The applied index and logo, the world map, the different typographies (polar white) are all perfectly executed. You will notice the presence of small suns (red) that extend the range of some cities of reference on the time zones ring. It is of course a way to take into account the daylight saving time. There is a date window betwixt two of the three silvered sub-dials. The chronograph pushers activate the three sub-dials and the main crown operates the time zone complication. The dial is covered with a convex Sapphire Crystal thereby contributing strongly to excellent readability of the information on the dial.

Movement:

At the heart of the Breitling Transocean Unitime is the Breitling Calibre B05 which is actually a B01 with an added in house world-time module. It is the reason why the Unitime movement has a frequency of 4hz and a significant power reserve of 3 days. With the effectiveness of the system of instant date change, the date is automatically set going to the next day if you travel  to the East or going back to the previous day if you travel to the West. It contains 56 Jewels, has a power reserve of approximately 70 hours and runs at a frequency of 28800.

Strap/Bracelet:

The watch comes with the original super comfortable Breitling Shark Mesh Milanese Stainless Steel bracelet with a signed fold over locking clasp.

This watch has been checked and certified as clear by ‘The Watch Register’ the Global Database of Lost, Stolen and Counterfeit Watches. This database covers a broad range of incidents including robberies, burglaries, snatches, frauds, postal losses, accidental losses and fakes.

This model is from 2013 as signified with the engraving between the lugs and comes with the original box, Breitling International Warranty booklet and User Guide.

The condition of this watch is Good condition for a 13 year old watch. There are small scratches throughout the case and bracelet as you would expect, there are a couple of small dinks on the lug at 7 o’clock and a deeper scratch on the bezel at this position also, these are quite difficult to see with the naked eye, the crystal has micro scratches throughout. All these are barely noticeable if at all when the watch is worn.
