For sale is a pre-owned highly capable, authentic Limited Edition Gents Ball Roadmaster Marine GMT Chronometer, Model DG3030B-S4C-BE. This Swiss automatic tool watch features a lightweight 40mm titanium case paired with an illuminated bi-directional ceramic 24-hour bezel. It is driven by the COSC chronometer-certified automatic Calibre BALL RR1203-C movement, showcasing day and date windows at 3 o'clock.
Designed for global travel, it utilizes Ball's patented quick-set GMT mechanism: two innovative pump-style locking pushers on the left case-side advance or reverse the GMT hand in independent 1-hour increments without hacking the movement. Built for extreme environments, it boasts 5,000Gs shock resistance, 4,800A/m anti-magnetism, a screw-down crown, and a sapphire exhibition case back. The watch is equipped with 28 self-powered tritium H3 micro gas tubes across the hands and dial for unparalleled luminescence in low-light conditions.
Case:
This GMT has a 40mm Titanium case with a superluminova bi-directional ceramic bezel in the ‘Pepsi’ colourway. It has a brushed finish and has a signed lock down screw crown. Opposite the crown are the two patented quick set GMT pushers. It has an exhibition case back with the watch serial number and model numbers engraved on the edge of the window. Also engraved is the unique issue number of this watch as there were only 1000 made, this watch is number 0018.
Dial:
The Roadmaster GMT has a deep, matte textured blue dial engineered for high contrast and zero light reflection under direct sunlight. Features a clean minute track along the outer rim, sharp applied indices, and heavy-set sword hands for rapid local time-telling. It showcases a prominent, skeletonized GMT arrow hand finished with a vivid contrasting tip to track home time on the outer scale. Features neatly framed, highly readable day and date apertures cleanly aligned at the 3 o'clock position.
It is equipped with 28 micro gas tubes (H3) safely encapsulated in mineral glass across the hour markers, minute track, and hands. Unlike standard luminous paint (Super-LumiNova), these Swiss-engineered tritium tubes require no charging from external light or batteries and glow continuously, providing crisp, uncompromised legibility in pitch-black conditions for up to 25 years.
Movement:
This watch has an authentic Swiss-Made BALL Calibre RR1203-C automatic mechanical winding movement. This specific movement is an officially certified Swiss Chronometer, having passed rigorous multi-positional and temperature tests by the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres. The unique, official registration certificate number "B33763" is cleanly engraved onto the movement bridge, visible through the clear sapphire exhibition display case back.
It offers a robust power reserve of approximately 38 hours, has 21 functional synthetic ruby jewels to minimize friction and wear within the gear train. Fully equipped with advanced shock-resistance limits up to 5,000Gs and anti-magnetic shielding up to 4,800A/m to protect the hairspring and balance wheel from external magnetism and daily impacts.
Strap/Bracelet:
The watch has the original factory-issued Ball titanium and stainless steel H-link bracelet specifically engineered for the Roadmaster Marine series. The central H-links are crafted from lightweight, dark-toned Grade 2 Titanium to reduce overall weight, while the outer links are solid 316L brushed stainless steel for maximum scratch and impact resistance.
Equipped with the original Ball low-profile folding deployant clasp crafted from solid stainless steel. The buckle features a secure double-push button safety release mechanism to prevent accidental opening, completed with a subtle, stamped Ball "RR" (Official Railroad Standard) logo on the clasp bridge.
