Here we have a pre-owned Ball Engineer III Marvelight Chronometer with the sought after Orange Dial.
Case:
This Marvelight Chronometer has a 40mm 904L Stainless Steel case (the exact same superior alloy utilized by Rolex). It offers exceptional corrosion resistance, high durability, and a distinct, brilliant lustre when polished. The case is 13.5mm thick making it slip effortlessly under a shirt cuff while retaining great wrist presence.
It has a screw-down crown helping provide 100m (330ft) of water resistance. It is also shielded by a Mu-metal shield, delivering an outstanding anti-magnetic protection of 1,000 Gauss (80,000 A/m) and Mu-metal shock resistance up to 5,000Gs. The dial is covered with a scratch-resistant, anti-reflective sapphire crystal ensuring crystal-clear readability under any lighting condition.
Dial:
The Marvelight has a striking, rich orange enamel dial. It catches the light beautifully, offering an incredibly bold and sporting aesthetic. Features Ball’s legendary, self-powered micro gas tubes (14 tubes total across the hands and hour markers). Unlike standard Super-LumiNova, these tubes do not require a light source to charge and will glow continuously in pitch darkness for up to 25 years. The dial also features Impeccable dial printing featuring the "Chronometer" text at 6 o'clock and the iconic, intricately cut "RR" (Rail Road) monogram script counterweight on the sweeping seconds hand. A magnified date window sits cleanly at 3 o'clock.
Movement:
This watch has an Ball Calibre RR1103-C at its heart which is a highly reliable, modified automatic calibre based on premium Swiss architecture. This movement has undergone rigorous testing by the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC), guaranteeing exceptional accuracy and timekeeping precision within strict Swiss chronometer tolerances. Features a robust 38-hour power reserve with automatic self-winding tracking.
Strap/Bracelet:
The watch bracelet is crafted entirely from matching 904L stainless steel, featuring beautifully contrasting brushed outer links and mirror-polished centre links. Solid end-links and a substantial, solid-feeling taper provide extreme comfort and balance on the wrist. Secured with Ball’s flush, ergonomic butterfly deployment clasp, it maintains a sleek, uninterrupted steel aesthetic around the wrist.
This watch has been checked and certified as clear by ‘The Watch Register’ the Global Database of Lost, Stolen and Counterfeit Watches. This database covers a broad range of incidents including robberies, burglaries, snatches, frauds, postal losses, accidental losses and fakes.
Lightly used and in excellent pre-owned condition. Purchased brand new in July 2026, this watch has been worn carefully in a small collection. The sapphire crystal and orange enamel dial are completely flawless. The 904L stainless steel case and bracelet show only minor, faint hairline marks on the high-polish surfaces, consistent with light wear. The movement runs perfectly within COSC chronometer specifications. Full set with valid Ball factory warranty remaining (over 4.5 years). (please see pictures)
This watch comes with the original Inner and Outer box, chronometer card, warranty card and two swing tags i.e. full set.
The watch has all the links it came with when bought new and the model wrist is 19cm and the watch is loose on this size wrist so would fit a 20cm wrist.
